ACM Research’s operating subsidiary ACM Research (Shanghai), Inc. has started the construction work of its new development and production facility in the Pilot Free Trade Zone of Lingang Shanghai Special Area of China. ACM Research has announced that ACM Research held a groundbreaking ceremony on July 7, 2020 to commence the start of construction on its development and production facility. The facility site is located in the Lingang region of Shanghai located approximately 30 miles from ACM Shanghai’s headquarters in Zhangjiang. Government officials of region along with company’s customers, suppliers, and the board members and employees attended the ceremony.
The new 100,000 square meter factory and development facilities of ACM in China will integrate the modern manufacturing systems and technologies related to significant automation. It can help to boost the production capacity and related R&D activities of ACM when its gets fully-staffed. ACM supplies the wafer cleaning technologies for the semiconductor devices.
President and Chief Executive Officer of ACM, Dr. David Wang said that the Lingang facility reflects the long-term commitment of ACM to the rapidly-growing China market, and it will support potential growth of company’s operations in Korea, the Taiwan region and as well as United States and aims to further scale up the production to expand company’s product line of semiconductor capital equipment.
He further expressed during the moment of commencement, “We are very excited to celebrate this milestone with our community, as this expansion will represent another significant achievement in our mission to become a major supplier of capital equipment to the global semiconductor industry.”
