Josh was born in Los Angeles, California, on February 27, 1981. His parents, Jack and Linda, were both businesspeople and educators.
His parents are Episcopalians with ancestry in Poland, Ukraine, Germany, and Norway. At his school’s cabaret night, Groban performed a solo in the song “S’wonderful” in the seventh grade, marking his debut as a performer in front of an audience.
