One of the most adored teen sitcoms of the 1990s was That ’70s Show. Eight seasons of nostalgic laughs were provided by the Wisconsin-bound misadventures of the geek Eric Forman (Topher Grace), his amiable neighbour Donna Pinciotti (Laura Prepon), trouble-making rogue Steven Hyde (Danny Masterson), loveable loser Michael Kelso (Ashton Kutcher), spoiled rich girl Jackie Burkhart (Mila Kunis), and foreign exchange student Fez (Wilmer Valderrama).

That ’70s Show was able to expand its ensemble with equally interesting adult characters thanks to the squabbling relationship between Eric’s upbeat, overprotective mother Kitty (Debra Jo Rupp) and his constantly grumpy father Red (Kurtwood Smith).

The problematic relationship between Donna’s parents, inept flea market proprietor Bob (Donn Stark), and unfulfilled housewife Midge is endured by the Forman parents (Tanya Roberts).

That 70s Show Finale

At the conclusion of the seventh season, Topher Grace’s character Eric Forman was written off the show because he wanted to advance in his job. When Ashton Kutcher also made the decision to leave after the seventh season, he changed to a recurrent guest role.

However, Kelso had not yet been written out, so Kutcher made an appearance in the first four episodes of the eighth season to better wrap up the character (credited as a special guest star). Grace would later make a comeback for the series finale, however she wasn’t given credit.

To help fill Kelso’s role as the group’s dimwit, Tommy Chong (who had started making appearances again by the end of season 7 after a protracted absence) was reinstated as a regular.

Bret Harrison’s portrayal of Charlie, Eric’s new friend, was intended to serve as Eric’s replacement as a “innocent figure”; however, after Harrison was offered the lead role in the television series The Loop, the character was killed off.

Josh Meyers, the brother of Late Night presenter Seth Meyers, played Randy Pearson, a brand-new character that was established to replace both Eric and, to a lesser extent, Charlie.

Jud Tylor’s stripper Samantha, a further new character, was introduced as Hyde’s wife for a total of nine episodes. The Vista Cruiser was replaced with the circle for the opening theme song of the show.

On January 17, 2006, it was revealed that the eighth season would be the show’s final one. On February 17, 2006, “That ’70s Finale” was shot, and it debuted on May 18, 2006.

Fans had been looking forward to the show’s arrival on Netflix, but it was pulled from the streaming service in September of last year. It was a difficult setback; Nielsen had claimed that the series was one of the titles on the service that was performing among the best.

Even while the entire run of the popular programme isn’t currently available to stream online for free, Seasons 6-8 may be viewed on the streaming service Sling.

Amazon Prime Video is the only place where whole seasons or individual episodes can be purchased, thus anyone who wants to watch the entire funny series can only do so by subscribing to Amazon Prime Video.

Seasons 1 through 8 of That ’70s Show are available in their entirety on Amazon.com. The group attends the May premiere of the original movie in the enduring Star Wars-themed episode “A New Hope” from the first season.

In Eric’s dream scenario, the entire cast wore Star Wars costumes. On March 14, 1999, the episode aired as worldwide The Phantom Menace fever was in full swing and early ticket sales were starting.

The following seasons each have great moments to offer. Eric’s older sister Laurie (Lisa Robin Kelly), who torments her younger brother with a series of vicious pranks and lies but always appears to be loved in her father’s eyes, made an appearance on several occasions in the second season.

Tommy Chong appeared frequently in Season 4 as Leo, the stoned-out hippy owner of the Foto Hut. Hyde doesn’t have to put much effort into deceiving Leo into essentially working for free, and he learns some valuable lessons from his boss’s bizarre experiences.

Leo claims to have received a Purple Heart, but he never recalls the specifics of his military duty (or remember anything for that matter).

On Amazon, all individual episodes of That 70’s Show are available for $2.99 in HD, though they cost $1.99 in SD. The 1970s can still be rather groovy for a few people.
