Who is Ironmouse?

Ironmouse is a YouTuber and live streamer who hails from Puerto Rico. She has been active in the industry since 2017, and she was a founder member of the VTuber group VShojo when it was first established in 2020.

She has more than one million followers on Twitch, making her the most followed English language VTuber on the platform. During the month of February 2022, she had the most active paid subscriptions of any channel on Twitch.

Ironmouse Career

Ironmouse had wanted to be an opera singer, but was later diagnosed with common variable immunodeficiency (CVID), an immunological condition that has left her immobile and isolated, a situation that worsened in 2020 with the COVID-19 pandemic.

She started streaming in 2017 because she felt “lonely and wanted something to do.” She was inspired by Kizuna Ai, the first “virtual YouTuber,” to stream using a digital avatar to conceal her identity.

Kizuna began calling herself a VTuber after realising more others were doing so. The Ironmouse persona was evolved into a character, which she called a “larger version of me” and a superhero suit. Her avatar is a horned demon with pink and purple hair, and its backstory suggests that the figure is Satan himself.

Ironmouse’s unusual, high-pitched speaking voice is the result of CVID difficulties. She has said that some people have failed to take her seriously because of her voice, and that several streamers were startled to learn that it was her true voice and not a voice changer.

Improved health allowed her to regularly conduct longer streams. Ironmouse joined Nyanners and Projekt Melody as charter members of VShojo in November 2020. She’s worked with Welsh YouTuber CDawgVA.

Ironmouse staged a subathon in February 2022, a nonstop webcast in which a countdown clock was extended whenever viewers purchased paid memberships or made donations. During her slumber, the stream continued with videos, guest appearances, and other stuff.

Ironmouse became the most-subscribed female streamer on Twitch and had the most active subscribers of all Twitch channels at the time, with approximately 172,000 by the end of the event. Ironmouse was the eighth-most watched Twitch streamer in February 2022, the first time a VTuber cracked the top 10.

Ironmouse thought it was “I never felt lonely because I always had company. I’ve never felt less lonely.” She was also nominated once for the Streamer Awards in Best VTuber Streamer category.

Ironmouse Youtube

Ironmouse has also maintained a presence on YouTube since September 2017, where the majority of the content is comprised of footage taken from her Twitch streams. IRONMOUSE VODS is a collection of uncut recordings from her Twitch streams. IronMouse’s Shorts is a collection of clips that are one minute or less in length and features IronMouse.

These two more channels were set up in November 2020 and February 2021, respectively. Toomas Liismus (Mudan) is in charge of managing both the main channel and the vods, while Miles Walden (XxShinobazuxX) and Flask GG are in charge of managing the shorts. The Silver Creator Award was given to her primary channel in September of 2020 for reaching the milestone of more than 100,000 subscribers.
