Early Life and Education
On November 4, 1970, Frankel was born in New York City. Her mother Bernadette Birk worked as an interior designer, while her father Robert J. Frankel trained horses. When Frankel was barely four years old, her father abandoned her, and when she was five, her mother remarried John Parisella, another horse trainer.
Frankel’s early years were difficult; she moved around a lot and attended numerous schools as she grew older until she enrolled in boarding school. She completed her education at the Pine Crest School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, before enrolling in the Natural Gourmet Institute in New York City, spending two years at Boston University, and finally earning a psychology and communications degree from New York University.
Career & Growth
Frankel relocated to Los Angeles in 1992 with aspirations of becoming an actor. Despite the short lifespan of her first firm, In Any Event, an event planning company, she developed connections while working in modest acting parts and jobs like nanny to Paris Hilton and personal assistant to Jerry and Linda Bruckheimer.
In 2003, Frankel founded BethennyBakes, a business that delivers ‘healthy’ baked products and meals in New York City. She made it through the process to become one of the finals, and it was featured on the reality competition series The Apprentice: Martha Stewart in 2005. Despite the fact that the business failed in 2006, Frankel’s time on the reality competition show served as the launchpad for her career in the genre.
The Real Housewives of New York City cast members chose her to be a part of their cast in 2008. She left Real Housewives in September 2010 for personal reasons, and after a three-season hiatus, she came back in 2014. In August 2019, she abruptly departed the show once more, saying she wanted to concentrate on her personal life.
Frankel was a part of the Bravo reality series Bethenny Getting Married?, which covered the couple’s engagement, wedding, and daughter’s birth. Her co-star at the time was Jason Hoppy. Following the start of negotiations in 2011 for her to host a show, she also obtained her own talk show. On September 9, 2013, The Bethenny Show debuted; it was short-lived and ended on February 14, 2014.
Entertainment industry executive Peter Sussman was Frankel’s first spouse, whom she wed in 1996 and later divorced. On the programme Bethenny Getting Married?, her second marriage to pharmaceutical sales executive Jason Hoppy was shown.
They were married in March 2010; they divorced in January 2013 after their separation in December 2012. Although Page Six revealed in August 2019 that Hoppy and Frankel technically remained married, their divorce was finalised in July 2016, nearly four years after they first parted ways. Hoppy and Frankel had a daughter together.
