Even though Devi Vishwakumar (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) probably should have exercised some impulse control, it’s still entertaining to see the consequences of her decisions! The second season of Never Have I Ever, which is currently available on Netflix, begins with the mother of the main character, Nalini, discovering her daughter kissing Ben (Jaren Lewison), Devi’s former adversary turned crush.
Devi is somewhat taken aback when she arrives home to find her other crush, Paxton (Darren Barnet), waiting for her. Paxton has always been a little ambiguous when it comes to his emotions; is it possible that he has changed? Devi chooses to play a little game with the lads before jumping ship because she is aware that her family will soon be relocating to India. She will discreetly date each of them separately. She will have left for another continent by the time either of them learns the truth.
When the trip to India is cancelled and Devi is left with two misled guys and a terrible conscience, her plan turns out about as well as you’d expect. The love triangle, however, is back in full force by the time of the school dance since Ben has moved on to Aneesa (Megan Suri), Devi is envious, and Paxton is aware of how much Devi has done for him. Devi and Paxton are finally engaged in a public relationship as the season comes to a close, and Ben is shocked by how much he wants Devi back.
What will happen next for our favourite hothead and her rocky relationships? Here is all that is currently known about season 3. (Spoilers for Never Have I Ever season 2 ahead)

What we can expect in the Never Have I Ever Season 3: The Storyline
Devi and Paxton are dating after a rocky season 2. Devi may mark “girlfriend” off her “never have I ever” list after their Winter Dance entrance and Paxton’s Jeep hit. Season 3 will explore Ben’s awkward feelings for Devi and Aneesa and how Devi navigates a public connection with a boy who was once embarrassed by her.
Then there’s everyone else and their drama: Will Kamala (Richa Moorjani) marry? Poorna Jagannathan’s relationship with Chris Jackson (Common) Will Devi’s erratic behaviour change? We hope she stays crazy for excellent TV.
Barnet discussed his hopes for Devi and Paxton’s new public romance while we wait for a season renewal. I’d want to see how their exclusive relationship works out. I think there’s a lot more to explore,” Barnet said. Devi, Paxton, and Devi each have much more to learn about each other. Who knows when that’ll happen? You never know if they’ll fall in love, become friends, or despise one other.
Ramakrishnan told ET about Devi and Paxton’s season 3 relationship: We’ve never seen Devi in a proper relationship, so it’ll be cool. Dr. Ryan and Eleanor agree two-timing doesn’t count. False. She’s single. It’ll be great to witness her as a girlfriend, her first romance.
Paxton comprehending what Devi means to him is good because he recognises, ‘This is the one that believes in me and doesn’t think I’m foolish.'” I did something, and she supported me.’ Paxton laying aside ego and pride, asking forgiveness, and saying, ‘This is the situation’ It’s touching.”
Showrunner Lang Fisher told ET that the show will examine “sex and what to do if you’re a nerd dating a more experienced person.”
Plus, Fisher promised more of Devi’s family: “We introduced her grandmother [Nirmala] this season, who is this fantastic actress [Ranjita Chakravarty], and she just provided this whole other layer and kind of filled the space that Mohan left. I’m curious about her family’s new dynamics.
