Sean Taylor and Jackie Garcia were best friends in high school. They first met at Gulliver Preparatory School, where the former was just starting his high school football career.
Since Jackie had been beside him through thick and thin over the years, their engagement and decision to begin a family together came as no surprise.
They believed that their daughter, Jackie, would be the beginning of a large family. But they had no idea that life had very different plans in store for them.
Sean Taylor: How he died?
When a failed burglary attempt occurred in Miami while Sean Taylor was at home in that city in November 2007, the “What Happened to Sean Taylor?” tale began.
Five individuals from the Fort Myers region came into his house in search of cash; they had no idea that the NFL star was recovering from a knee injury at home rather than taking the field for the Redskins versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
One of the suspects admitted that he was shot after confronting them with a machete at his bedroom door. The 18-month-old girl and Taylor’s fiancée Jackie Garcia Haley, who were also in the residence, were unharmed.
The Redskins star’s massive blood loss from a severed femoral artery as a result of being shot in the upper leg was the cause of death for Sean Taylor. He was taken to the hospital right after, but one of the worst catastrophes occurred when he passed away 24 hours later.

The maximum sentence for all four males is life in prison on charges of felony second-degree murder, armed burglary, and home invasion robbery with a firearm.
When Timothy Brown, a 16-year-old suspect, was charged with both first-degree murder and burglary in May 2008, all murder charges were upgraded to first-degree murder. Who then killed Sean Taylor?
Who killed Sean Taylor?
Six years after the incident, Rivera, the person who fired the shot that killed Taylor, received a 57-year prison term. He was found guilty by a jury of armed burglary and second-degree murder.
He was first accused of first-degree murder, but because he was only 17 when the victim was killed, he was not eligible for the death penalty. Numerous members of the Rivera family begged for the suspect’s release, but he lied during his testimony, earning him a life sentence in prison.
Where are Sean Taylor’s wife and daughter now
According to the most recent information, Jackie Taylor has been living in Coral Gables, Florida, where she is being raised by her doting mother, who was her father’s one and only real love. In 2017, when she was 11 years old, she attended a ceremony honouring Sean’s work.
She had no likely been exposed to a great deal of information regarding Sean’s character and achievements prior to her attendance at the event. Jackie had no issue getting up on stage to give a speech in Sean’s honour as he was inducted into the University of Miami Ring of Honor, despite the fact that her public appearances had been few and far between since Sean’s funeral.
