Zorua is now available for the very first time in Pokémon GO! There is a possibility that you have come across the Tricky Fox Pokémon without even realising it because it often assumes the appearance of another Pokémon. Zorua’s Illusion ability in Pokémon GO gives it the capability of disguising itself as other Pokémon while it is out in the wild.
Zorua will be playable in Pokémon GO from now until Tuesday, November 1 at 10 a.m. local time as part of the Halloween event that is being held in conjunction with the game. Here is a list of Zorua’s guises that you should keep an eye out for, as there is only a limited amount of time remaining to get your hands on the Pokémon of generation five.
Zorua and Zoroark Background
According to the legends, Zorua and Zoroark are thought to have been modelled after Ninjas and Kitsune, two fundamental concepts in the folklore of Japan. Foxes with supernatural abilities, known as kitsune in Japanese folklore, are said to get more powerful as they age and acquire more life experience.
Folklore surrounding ykai creatures asserts that foxes in general have the power to assume human form at will. Other stories portray kitsune as loyal protectors, friends, and lovers, despite the fact that certain folktales tell of kitsune using this capacity to deceive others, which is something that foxes in folklore are frequently depicted as doing.
Zorua is Now Spawning
During the Shuppet Spotlight Hour, Zorus made its first appearance. During this time, the Tricky Fox had a chance to appear in the wild alongside the Ghost-Type. Zorua can now be encountered in the wild when playing Pokemon GO.

Zorua Can Turn Into Any Pokemon
Zorua may transform into any other Pokémon, just like Ditto, thus the possibilities are endless. In the wild, Zorua will pose as one of your Buddy Pokémon in order to avoid being discovered. It won’t disclose itself until it’s actually caught. When trying to capture Zorua, trainers should select a Buddy Pokémon that has a unique appearance and name, taking into consideration the name and appearance of the Pokémon they are seeking to capture.
If you have a shiny Pokémon or a legendary Pokémon, it will be much simpler to identify wild Dark-type Pokémon than if you do not. In addition, if a trainer does not have a Buddy Pokémon, Zorua will always appear in its basic form. If you want to know who your current Buddy is, look in the bottom left corner of the screen and then press the emblem that looks like a trainer.
How To Catch Zorua in Pokemon GO?
In order for users to be able to catch Zorua in Pokemon GO, they will first need to locate a Pokemon in the wild that is compatible with their existing Buddy Pokemon during certain special events. The next step is for them to capture the wild Pokemon in order to have a chance at it reverting back into the Tricky Fox after it is captured.
Zorua, much like Ditto, is currently skulking around in the wild while masquerading as a variety of different Pokemon. When you catch a creature that your current Buddy has already caught, you can see the ‘Oh?’ pop-up appear.
When this occurs, your most recent catch will turn out to have been a Zorua the whole time it was in your possession. I really hope that it wasn’t a Pokemon that you had been really looking forward to catching!
Tips to Catch Zorua
- Because Zorua acts as your chosen Buddy Pokemon, it is important to select a Pokémon with a distinct appearance so that you can easily identify possible captures. Do not form a friendship with a normal spawn!
- You can find Zorua’s disguises by using your Pokemon radar, which is located in the bottom right corner of the screen. Because the fox in its true form won’t show up on your radar, but the Buddy disguise it’s using would, you should keep a close eye on it.
- You can boost the number of wild Pokemon you encounter by luring them with food and incense. This will increase the chances of finding Zorua because there will be more Pokemon spawning with less of a delay between them.
Zorua to Zoroark
You will be able to evolve your Zorua into a Zoroark if you have collected fifty Zorua Candies after you have obtained your Zorua. The only thing you need to do is go to your Pokemon list, find the Zorua you want to evolve, and press the Evolve button.
What About Shiny Zorua or Hisuian Zorua?
The answer is no; neither shiny Zorua nor shiny Zoroark can be found in the game files for Pokemon GO at this time. On the other hand, we anticipate that they will be included at a later time. The Hisuian variants of Zorua and Zoroark are not yet available in the digital version of Pokemon Go. This article will be updated with new information as soon as the Normal- and Ghost-Type Pokemon are added to the game files.
