The Pokémon Café Remix Is Getting A Major Update!

Pokemon Cafe ReMix

On Thursday, October 28th, there will be a major update to the tasty puzzle game.

The Pokémon Café Mix is undergoing major renovations and will soon be rebranded as the Pokémon Café REMix. Get ready for even more excitement in the adorable café stocked with amusing Pokémon and brain-bending puzzles.

The Nintendo Switch and mobile versions will receive the update on October 28.

As you progress through the various puzzles in Pokémon Café Remix, the Pokémon you have befriended will become playable employees. Raise your level of friendship with the Pokémon to its maximum and it will join your dedicated team.

Then, as your Pokémon staff levels up, they’ll start creating unique drinks and dishes for you to enjoy! If that isn’t enough to draw in customers, word of impending menu changes will bring in even more Pokémon to your eatery. You can never know what might happen if you don’t keep building out your café.

Variations On The Pokémon Café ReMix Are Now Available

In Pokémon Café ReMix, you can play not only the classic stages but also a variety of new game modes!

To satisfy the Pokémon-loving customers who frequent your café, you must solve puzzles while preparing their drinks and meals. If you run a café, you get to pick which of the roaming Pokémon you see to place an order. Alternatively, you can use customer Pokémon that can be enticed with golden acorns.

You can now serve an extra order to a customer whose order you previously took, and you can serve a heaping helping to a Pokémon to gain bonus friendship levels when you complete an order.

If you’re looking to catch a certain Pokémon or amass a large number of items to help a certain Pokémon level up, try one of the methods above.

Please be aware that the Pokémon invitation system as it currently exists will be phased out. In addition, even if you’ve finished all of the main orders, you can still play Master Café Mode. (The next major update will bring accessibility to main order #300.)

Reordering From A Previously Placed Order

After finishing Pokémon Visiting Mode (main orders), you can play it again. It’s possible to go for a higher star total after achieving a lower one,

so if you complete an order with two stars the next time, you can try for three. If you decide to re-challenge an old order, any additional stars you earn will be added to the customer Pokémon’s friendship level.

Changes To The Stamina System

While solving orders (puzzles), the hearts you consume will now be stamina. If you fail to fulfill an order, you will still lose a stamina unit under the new system.

Changes To The Stamina System

In light of recent updates that allow players to replay orders for the purpose of gaining stars or training staff Pokémon, players will find that their stamina is depleted long before the order even begins.

  • The time it takes to restore one heart used to be 30 minutes, but the time it takes to restore one stamina unit has been shortened to 15 minutes.
  • Besides waiting for stamina to restore, there are other methods of restoring and obtaining stamina:
    • Time-based stamina will be added as an item (when used, stamina will not deplete for 30 minutes).
    • Team members will be able to send stamina to each other. (There will be daily limits to the amount of stamina that can be transferred).

There will be a maintenance period for Pokemon Cafe Mix from 10/24 at 7:00 p.m. to 10/27 at 7:00 p.m.

Put on your apron and get ready to chow down on all the delicious new additions to Pokémon Café ReMix!

Which is to say, it’s off to a good start. The energy system isn’t too punishing, and the stages aren’t as difficult as those in Candy Crush Saga, where it may take you 70 tries before you finally get lucky and clear them.

Keep in mind that the word “yet” qualifies each of these, as the rules of this game are subject to change on a biweekly basis.

It remains to be seen if this mobile game is the type that eases you into a false sense of security before surprising you with absurdly challenging stages that you will almost certainly need power-ups to clear (we see you, Dr. Mario World). We are content for the time being.
