Carlos Cuevas Gay

Actor Carlos Cuevas Sisó is active in the Spanish film, television, and theatre industries. He is most recognised for his roles in the Catalan television series Ventdelplà and Merl. He was born on December 27th, 1995 in the neighbourhood of Montcada I Reixac, which is located in Barcelona. When he was only five years old, he made his acting debut in a series of advertisements. It was in the film “La mujer de hielo” in 2002 that he made his first appearance.

Since 2004, he has been employed as a dubbing actor for a variety of commercial campaigns, including those broadcast on television and radio, and films. He made his debut in the realm of television in an episode of Trilita, which was a series produced by Tricicle for TV3. He played Tomás in the first season of Luna, el misterio de Calenda on Antena 3 in 2012.

He made a comeback to the stage at the end of that year, appearing in the drama Els nostres tigres beuen llet at the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya alongside Albert Espinosa, Joan Carreras I Goicoechea, and many others. Espinosa claims to have assembled a fictional family from the top actors in Catalan theatre.

Fame & Recognition

He performed in the show Barcelona from May 8 to June 22, 2013. He made an appearance in the 2015 movie It’s Now or Never. That same year, he also joined the cast of the TV3 series Merl, in which he played the character of Pol Rubio. Due to the series’ widespread popularity among Catalan viewers, it was later dubbed into Spanish for a statewide airing on laSexta.

He joined the cast of the 18th season of Cuéntame cómo pasó on Televisión Espaola in October 2016, playing Marcos. Cuevas portrayed Alonso Aldama in the Manolo Caro-written, three-part Someone Has to Die Netflix series in 2020. Cuevas co-starred with Miki Esparbé, Pepón Nieto, Meritxell Calvo, and Cedrick Mugisha in the Netflix series Smiley in 2022 as Alex.
