samsung galaxy s23 release date

It has come to widespread attention over the course of the past few weeks that Samsung may introduce its upcoming flagship smartphone series during the first part of the month of February 2023. However, the precise release date has remained a secret up until this point. It appears that the actual release date of the Galaxy S23 has been disclosed now. IceUniverse (@UniverseIce), a tipster, claims that Samsung has scheduled the Galaxy Unpacked 2023 launch event (for the Galaxy S23) to take place on February 1, 2023.

It appears that this will be the debut date for the United States. Therefore, the most likely date for the launch for the rest of the world is going to be February 2nd, 2023. There is another report that the Galaxy S23 series will go on sale in significant regions approximately two weeks after the official introduction of the product. The possibility exists that the other markets will have access to the phones before the month of March 2023 is over. Check more in the post.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Design

This year, Samsung appears to be doing the opposite of what it did last year, when it kept the design of the base model the same while updating the Ultra model. As a result, all three phones are now more or less in line with one another. The majority of the components of the phones have retained roughly the same appearance; however, the camera module has undergone a significant redesign, and it now consists of three separate circles with the flash located alongside – RIP contour cut.

Galaxy S23 Specs

Samsung often uses the most recent processors in its Galaxy-class devices, which in this case is probably the just-announced Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. In leaked Geekbench results for the Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra, all of which have 8GB RAM, that processor has already been identified. The benchmark results themselves appear good, but it’s too soon to evaluate performance using pre-production gear; we’ll learn more once the first phones using the chip hit the market.

It’s interesting to note that despite the chip’s stated clock speed being 3.2GHz, these testing indicate a prime core clock speed of 3.36GHz. According to leakers like Ice Universe, this has given rise to speculation that Samsung may have access to a speedier, more exclusive version of the 8 Gen 2 processor, which would offer the S23 range a very modest performance advantage over its rivals.

In the past, Samsung has used Qualcomm chips in the US and some other countries, while using its own Exynos CPUs in Europe and India. This is expected to change this year, as Qualcomm said that it has reached an agreement with the Korean giant under which it will continue to provide Samsung with Snapdragon chips through 2030.

Cameras of Samsung Galaxy S23

Cameras are another big selling point on Galaxy phones, and there are rumours that are being widely reported that the Galaxy S23 Ultra would come with one of Samsung’s new 200Mp sensors for its main camera. This would be a significant upgrade from the current 100Mp sensor on the Galaxy S23. Although Samsung has already introduced three 200-megapixel sensors—the HP1, the HP3, and the HPX—none of these have yet been implemented into any of the company’s products.

However, these sensors have recently been spotted in the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra, the Xiaomi 12T Pro, and the Redmi Note 12 Pro. A pixel-binning computational trickery known as ChameleonCell technology is responsible for the sensors’ remarkable low-light performance, which is promised by the manufacturers.

What will Samsung Galaxy S23 Cost to you?

Unless the supply chain issues continue into mass production, the Galaxy S23 Ultra is anticipated to have the same $1199.99 starting price as its predecessor. However, there are rumours in Korean media that it will cost more due to inflation, even though the report was referring to the price in South Korea.

Nevertheless, Samsung might determine that the new S23 and S23+ designs, along with the 200MP camera sensor, do in fact merit a higher price in the US. We maintain high hopes for a $799 Galaxy S23 starting price, $999 for the Galaxy S23+, and the sweet $1199 Galaxy S23 Ultra price point for the base 128GB model because the S22 Ultra had the S Pen tucked within and a better screen while charging the same.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Expected Release Date

According to the most recent reports, the Galaxy S23 phones might be released on February 24, 2023. This would coincide with the announcement of their Unpacked event taking place on Wednesday in the middle of February. Since Samsung’s typical Wednesday Unpacked event will take place on February 15, the actual release date will take place two Fridays after that, on February 24. If Samsung doesn’t do this, the company runs the risk of introducing its products after the MWC expo has come and gone.
