Lamar Jackson, Jalen Hurts & Other Injured in Fantasy Football Week 16

Fantacy Football Week 16 Injuries

Injuries can have a huge impact on the worth of a player in fantasy football and daily fantasy sports in a variety of ways, including game-time choices and injuries that are so severe that they affect the value of every position. Know when to pivot and how the change will influence the players on your fantasy roster. You’ll find a game-by-game breakdown below of the injuries you need to be aware of that are going to have the most significant influence on fantasy leagues, as well as the consequences for players participating in daily fantasy sports.

This week’s list of notable names includes quarterbacks Lamar Jackson, Ryan Tannehill, and Jalen Hurts; running backs Kenneth Walker, Rhamondre Stevenson, and Dameon Pierce; receivers Tee Higgins, Tyler Lockett, and Chris Olave; tight ends Hayden Hurst and Noah Fant; and many other players, including key offensive line and defensive injuries to be aware of.

Jalen Hurts – Eagles

After suffering a right shoulder sprain in the victory over the Chicago Bears in Week 15, quarterback Jalen Hurts of the Philadelphia Eagles will not play in the team’s Week 16 game against the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday. The game is a divisional matchup between the Eagles and the Cowboys. On Thursday, the Eagles made the announcement that their backup quarterback Gardner Minshew will get his first start of the season.

If this game were taking place during the postseason, it is very likely that Hurts would play through the injury. However, it is not, and the Eagles want the candidate for Most Valuable Player to be healthy heading into the playoffs; hence, there is a possibility that he will miss Week 17 if the Eagles believe he is not ready.

WR Devin Duvernay – Baltimore Ravens

Devin Duvernay suffered a foot fracture during practise, and as a result, he will be placed on injured reserve. This adds to the Ravens’ string of unfortunate injury outcomes over the past two seasons.

Kenneth Walker

Kenneth Walker III (ankle) and DeeJay Dallas (ankle), both running backs for the Seattle Seahawks, were listed as questionable on the final injury report; however, both players are expected to play in Week 16’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs despite the fact that they were listed as questionable. It would appear that the team’s head coach, Pete Carroll, intends to use both of his backs during this weekend’s game.

Rhamondre Stevenson

Running back Rhamondre Stevenson (ankle) of the New England Patriots is listed as questionable to play in the Patriots’ Week 16 game against the Cincinnati Bengals, which is scheduled to take place on Christmas Eve. Following his performance against the Las Vegas Raiders the previous week, in which he rushed for a season-high 172 yards and a touchdown on 19 runs, Stevenson was placed on a limited practise schedule for the remainder of the week.

Diontae Johnson

Wide receiver Diontae Johnson of the Pittsburgh Steelers is dealing with a toe injury and is listed as questionable for the Steelers’ Week 16 game against the Las Vegas Raiders. Johnson is not expected to participate in any practises this week, according to head coach Mike Tomlin. Having said that, it is understandable why Johnson did not participate in practise on either Wednesday or Thursday. It appears as though Johnson intends to participate in the game, despite the fact that he most likely won’t be in peak physical condition. The upcoming game on Saturday against the Raiders is one that he ought to be considered for in terms of WR3 considerations.

Seahawks got Multiple Injuries

The Seahawks have suffered many injuries, so it is important for fantasy managers to keep an eye on the situation. Marquise Goodwin goes up to the plate now that Tyler Lockett is out with an injury. Even though Goodwin did not participate in Thursday’s practise, he is still projected to play, so be sure to keep an eye on his development before the game begins.

This season, Goodwin has scored four touchdowns, and he has two games in which he has scored more than 20 Fantasy points using the PPR scoring system. In Lockett’s absence, Goodwin is a strong option for the flex position. The Seahawks should be required to play more snaps as a result of their matchup with Kansas City.

QB Lamar Jackson – Baltimore Ravens

For the third game in a row, quarterback Lamar Jackson will be held out of action due to injury. He had a knee injury and is still getting better from it.

TE Hayden Hurst – Cincinnati Bengals

The first tight end for Cincinnati was practising as though he will play on Saturday. However, the injury to his calf has not yet recovered to the point where it is no longer a concern. In preparation for Saturday’s game against the Patriots, his status has been changed to “Out.”
