In Chicago on Monday night, two teenagers were shot and injured, according to the Chicago Police Department. On Monday night, a 17-year-old boy was shot and killed in the South Side neighbourhood of Englewood. At about 10:10 p.m., the teen was standing on the 500 block of West 72nd Street when a red jeep pulled up next to him and someone inside opened fire, according to Chicago police.
Authorities say the boy was hit multiple times in the chest and both legs before being taken to Comer Children’s Hospital, where his condition is listed as critical. It was reported that a young man was shot and killed Monday night in the Wicker Park neighbourhood as he slept in the front passenger seat of a car.
Chicago police say the 17-year-old boy woke up in pain at approximately 10:30 p.m. while the car was travelling in the 2200 block of West Division Street. After being dropped off, he was taken to St. Mary Hospital, where his condition was reported as “good” despite a gunshot wound to the back.

Over the weekend, five people were shot and killed in Chicago, including a 17-year-old boy, and 30 others were injured, including a 12-year-old boy.
Saturday night around 7 o’clock, the missing 17-year-old was located. According to Chicago police, he was shot in the head while sitting in the passenger seat of a car in an alley off the 1900 block of South State Street. His death was ruled an instantaneous tragedy.
On a Saturday afternoon, a young man, aged 18, was gunned down in the Heart of Chicago neighbourhood. Around 2:30 p.m., he was shot in the lower back in the 1900 block of West 17th Street, police said. After being taken there, he sadly passed away at Stroger Hospital.
A man was shot and killed early Saturday morning on Austin’s West Side. At approximately 10:35 a.m., a 26-year-old man was shot in the abdomen, right bicep, and right knee while standing in the 1100 block of North Waller Avenue, according to police. It was reported that he was dead upon arrival at Stroger Hospital.
Late on Saturday, police discovered a body in front of a home in the Roseland neighbourhood of the Far South Side. The 27-year-old was shot in the neck at 6:15 p.m. on the 400 block of West 104th Street, according to the police. There was an immediate death verdict issued for him.
Over the course of half an hour on Sunday morning, six people, including a 15-year-old boy, were shot. Police say the teen was shot in the left leg around 2 a.m. while walking with another person in the 5400 block of South Kedzie Avenue. Police said he was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital, where his condition was described as “good.”
Two men, ages 27 and 25, were shot and killed at around 2:25 a.m. while sitting in a parked car in the 2300 block of West Taylor Street, according to authorities. A gunshot wound to the older man’s right leg led someone to bring him to Stroger Hospital, where he was reportedly listed in critical condition. The younger man was shot in the back and taken to the same hospital.
The Boy, 17, Was Brought To Chicago Hospital With A Gunshot Wound To The Back
A 24-year-old man was walking in the 9700 block of South Jeffery Boulevard at the same time when shots were fired from a passing black sedan, wounding his right leg, according to police. He sought treatment at the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was last reported to be in stable condition.
Ten minutes earlier, on the 3600 block of North Newcastle Avenue, someone opened fire on two women, ages 25 and 23, who were standing in the kitchen. They say the elderly lady was grazed in the left knee and is doing fine at Community First Hospital. The younger lady had her left arm scratched but declined medical attention.
This past Saturday night, a 12-year-old boy was shot in the West Side neighbourhood of Little Italy. He was standing near a sidewalk in the 1000 block of West 13th Street at 5 o’clock when he was shot in the leg, police said. He was in good condition when he arrived at Stroger Hospital.
On Friday night, another young person was hurt in the South Side neighbourhood of Auburn Gresham. The teen was shot in the left foot around 7:30 p.m. while walking down the 7600 block of South Green Street, police said. He was rushed to St. Bernard Hospital, where his condition has been described as “good.”
WESTERN SIDE OF CHICAGO – Despite being shot in the back on Monday night, a teenage boy is currently in stable condition. Chicago police said a 17-year-old boy arrived at St. Mary’s Hospital at around 10:26 p.m. with a gunshot wound to the back. The young man claimed he had been a passenger in a car and had fallen asleep, only to awaken in excruciating pain.
