Sansom Park police officer Lina Mino, who was shot in the face during a training exercise, was released from a rehabilitation facility on December 2. A month ago, she was shot in the face.
There were many law enforcement officials present to honor Mino’s rehabilitation completion, including those from the Fort Worth, White Settlement, Mansfield, Westworth Village, Westover Hills, and Boyd police departments.
While participating in a training exercise at a school in Forest Hill in the month of November, Mino was shot by a live round of ammunition for reasons that remain unclear. Mino was rushed to the hospital in critical condition after sustaining life-threatening wounds. One of Johnson County’s reserve deputies was suspended shortly after the incident.
