19-year-old suspect arrested for sexual assault in Paradise; Las Vegas police seeking additional victims

Metropolitan Police said on Thursday that a 19-year-old man was charged with kidnapping and sexually assaulting a third sex worker, adding to the two victims he was already accused of abducting and assaulting.

According to police and court records, Lavontae Stuckey was taken into custody by Las Vegas police on Wednesday at the Clark County Detention Center, located at 330 S. Casino Center, after a report was made by a third victim.

A new, unnamed victim came forward to police on Tuesday, and in addition to the six felony charges against Stuckey that were filed earlier this month, he now faces four more. The bail set for him is $160,000.

The latest charges against him include first-degree kidnapping, sexual trafficking of adults, sexual assault with a deadly weapon, and robbery with a deadly weapon, according to jail records.

The latest alleged victim was a sex worker who reported to police on December 15 that she was in Stuckey’s car on the second floor of the hotel’s parking garage when she was forced to engage in sexual acts against her will while he threatened her with a gun. The address at which the alleged crimes took place is 4500 Tropicana Ave., the same location as the Orleans.

A police report states that he threatened to “shoot her” if she did not give him oral sex.

According to police, the suspect tried to rob the sex worker, hire her as his prostitute, and then leave the Orleans in his black Cadillac CTS.

After initially being charged with kidnapping in the second degree with a deadly weapon for the July 9 abduction of a sex worker from the Strat parking garage, Stuckey agreed to plead guilty in District Court to a gross misdemeanor of false imprisonment just weeks before his arrest on December 15.

According to police, the Strat case is similar to the one where Stuckey threatened the victim with a gun and demanded oral sex while she was in his car in the parking garage.

On Thursday, a judge scheduled a status hearing for January 4 after Stuckey made his initial appearance in Justice Court on charges related to a third victim. The preliminary hearing for the case against Stuckey stemming from his arrest on December 14 is set to take place on January 3. Stuckey also made an appearance in court on December 20.

Police detectives are asking anyone who was a victim or has any information to contact them at 702-828-3455, as they believe there may be more victims.
