At least 5 teens shot throughout city Tuesday Chicago police

In the most recent incident, which occurred at around 10:50 p.m. in Woodlawn, a 31-year-old man and a 14-year-old boy were shot while riding in a car in the 6600 block of South Greenwood Avenue, according to the Chicago Police Department.

CPD says a man opened fire on the two as they drove west on East Marquette Road. The 31-year-old driver, who police say was shot in the head, crashed into a tree and a building. At the University of Chicago Medical Center, he is in a life-threatening condition.

The 14-year-old was shot in the right arm and is in fair condition at the University of Chicago Medical Center.No one has been taken into custody, but detectives from Area One are still looking into the situation.

A 15-year-old boy was at a gas station in the 7900 block of South LaFayette Avenue in West Chatham at around 10 p.m. when gunfire broke out. He sustained a gunshot wound to the buttocks and was rushed to Comer Children’s Hospital, where his condition is critical.

Police In Area 2 Has Not Been Able To Apprehend Any Suspects

At around 3:15 p.m., CPD received a report of a 16-year-old male who had been grazed on the thigh and was standing near the sidewalk on the 5300 block of South Tripp Avenue in West Elsdon.

The ambulance took him to Holy Cross Hospital, where he is listed as stable. Absolutely no one is being held for any reason.Police in Chicago say another shooting occurred at around 3 a.m., but they have no details about the location.

Police In Area 2 Has Not Been Able To Apprehend Any Suspects

A 17-year-old boy was brought to St. Bernard Hospital by his family after he was shot in the right upper shoulder. Officers say his condition is stable at this time. He refused to speak to investigators or provide any details about what happened.

Another teen, this one 17, was shot at 12:10 a.m. in the Cragin neighborhood on the Northwest Side. In the 2900 block of North Cicero Avenue, he heard shots and felt pain, Chicago police said.

The latest shooting, according to the police, took place on Wednesday morning in the 1600 block of West Juneway Terrance. It was discovered that a 17-year-old male had been shot four times, twice in the upper left leg and twice in the lower right leg.

The adolescent was in stable condition during transport to St. Francis Hospital.

Another shooting occurred on Tuesday night at around 10:55 p.m. when a 31-year-old man was driving in the 6600 block of South Greenwood when he was shot in the head and crashed into a tree and a building. The boy, only 14, was shot in the arm and taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center where his condition is listed as fair.

Last Words

A 15-year-old boy was seriously hurt less than an hour earlier at a gas station on the 7900 block of South Lafayette. After being shot in the buttocks, the teen was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital. Three more teens were shot on Tuesday, bringing the total number of victims from all shootings to four.
