Destiny 2 Lightfall Storyline
As part of the Lightfall expansion, you will engage in combat with The Witness and Calus, one of his disciples. The futuristic city of Neomuna, which is located on the planet Neptune, has been overtaken by an army of Cabals that Calus has been recruiting under the banner of the Shadow Legion.
You, along with the other Guardians and Cloudstrides, a new friendly force, have been tasked with the mission of defending Neomuna and preventing Calus from using a mysterious new ability known as Suppression, which the Shadow Legion has tapped into.

Official Plot mentioned by Bungie’s website
“Shattered glass glints in the starlight. Soldiers of the Shadow Legion battle with Guardians under the unmistakable shadows of the fleet overhead – the Witness and its newest Disciple are here. Amid the chaos, begin a journey that will reveal the hidden threads that bind us, the ability to unravel them, and the mastery to weave them anew. With this new power in hand, find strength in your fellow Guardians and triumph in the face of impossibility; Legendary mode returns.”Bungie’s website
Lightfall Legendary Campaign
Bungie went back to its roots with The Witch Queen, creating a campaign that fans couldn’t get enough of. It is frequently regarded as Destiny’s best, and Lightfall intends to make comparable advancements in that area. Naturally, the legendary campaign is coming back, allowing gamers to challenge their skills and recreate it on a much more tough mode.
No one could ever forget the amazing Halo campaigns from Bungie, especially the thrill of playing them on legendary difficulty, or LASO (Legendary All Skulls On). This assurance is thrilling for players like me who would rather just enjoy an amazing campaign than get sucked into the MMO aspects of the game.

Destiny 2 Lightfall Latest Features
The Lightfall expansion for Destiny 2 also promises to significantly enhance the gameplay experience. A saveable loadout system, a smoother onboarding process for new players, and an in-game LFG system are some of the new features. The release date of Destiny 2 Lightfall will undoubtedly be one to record on your calendars with all these new goodies. Ahead of Lightfall, Bungie is also inviting Destiny 2 players to submit their wishlists for enhancements, so it’s possible that the Destiny experience will get even better.
Prior to Lightfall, we received a significant quality of life update that made all mods (apart from Raid mods) freely accessible to all players in order to enhance the Destiny build creating experience. With Lightfall, though, we can anticipate more modifications to the mod system. Destiny 2 Lightfall Release Date
The release date for Destiny 2: Lightfall has been announced for February 28th, 2023. However, the release of The Witch Queen was originally scheduled for late 2021, but it was ultimately pushed back to February 2022, thus it is completely likely that Lightfall will also have a delay of this nature. There is a good chance that this release date may be pushed back, so you shouldn’t get your hopes up just yet.
Lightfall will be accessible on PC via Steam, Windows, and the Epic Games Store as well as PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One & Series X/S, and other platforms. Although Sony acquired Bungie in January 2022, both firms have stated interest in Destiny 2 staying multiplatform, so Xbox players need not worry that they will be left behind (at least just yet).
