Hispanic superstar Rafael Amaya will make his triumphant return to the network as the legendary Aurelio Casillas on Tuesday night when El Seor de Los Cielos premieres for its epic eighth season on Telemundo.
The new season features Amaya’s legendary character becoming more powerful than ever before in an effort to reclaim everything he lost during the thrilling events of season eight.
Along with Alejandro López as Sper Javi and Isabella Castillo as Diana Ahumada, the stellar cast also features Carmen Aub as Rutila Casillas and Iván Arana as Ismael Casillas.
A number of well-known actors and actresses, such as Lisa Owen, Robinson Diaz, and Salvador Pineda, will appear as special guests in the upcoming season.

When And Where To Catch The Premiere Of Season 8 Of El Seor De Los Cielos
The Season 8 premiere will air on Telemundo in the United States tonight at 9 p.m. (ET). It’s also available on the US-based streaming service FuboTV, which provides a free trial for the first seven days. The pilot will air as a two-hour event.
The Emmy-winning franchise’s original cast members, including Carmen Aub as Rutila Casillas, Iván Arana as Ismael Casillas, Isabella Castillo as Diana Ahumada, and Alejandro López as Super Javi, will be back for more. Lisa Owen, Robinson Diaz, and Salvador Pineda will also make guest appearances.

The new season of the popular Telemundo show El Seor de Los Cielos will premiere in exactly 30 days, and the network has already begun counting down the days (The Lord of the Skies). Aurelio Casillas, the show’s notorious protagonist, is back for Season 8 as well, played by Mexican actor Rafael Amaya.
Season 2 premieres on January 17 at 9 p.m. ET, and it will initially focus on how Casillas’s loved ones and the rest of the world are coping with his death (that happened in season 7).
To everyone’s surprise, the notorious drug lord is still alive and well, hiding out in the desert from his DEA enemies. Casillas has no intention of relinquishing his position of power and has already begun plotting his vengeance.
Following Kate del Castillo’s La Reina del Sur (The Queen of the South) on Telemundo, this is the network’s second consecutive series to move from its previous 10 pm timeslot to the newer 9 pm slot.
El Seor de Los Cielos has historically dominated the late-night time slot, even surpassing Univision on multiple occasions. Season 3 of La Reina, however, hasn’t been as successful at 9 o’clock as it was at 10 o’clock.
