what happened to dani alves

In his criticism of the way he was released from Barcelona this summer, Dani Alves claimed the club “doesn’t care” about those who made history for the club.

The veteran right-back was hoping to remain with Barca for at least the first half of next season in order to keep his World Cup hopes alive, but the club did not offer him a new short-term contract and he is now a free agent looking for a new club.

After his contract with Sao Paulo was terminated in September, the Brazilian right-back became Xavi Hernandez’s first signing as Blaugrana manager in January. The Catalan club did not extend his contract after he made 17 appearances in the second half of the season.

The return of Alves to Barca after a hiatus of five and a half years was not met with the same level of success as his first season in Camp Nou, as Xavi’s side still ended the season trophyless.

In an interview with The Guardian, Alves said that he “did not leave sad” about leaving Camp Nou this summer and that he “left happy to have returned to Barcelona.” A second like this is something I’ve dreamed about for the past five years. How my departure was handled was the only thing I didn’t like.

The Brazilian continued, “Since I arrived, I made it very clear that I was no longer a 20-year-old guy and that I wanted things to be done head-on, without hiding things. There has been sin in this club in recent years.

Barcelona has no respect for its club’s past greats. Personally, as a Barca supporter, I think the team should try new approaches. Not referring to myself because my experience was different. My undying gratitude goes to President Obama and Xavi for helping me get back to life.

When Dani Alves Left Barcelona, What Did He Have To Say?

The former Barcelona defender, now 39 years old, criticized the club’s day-to-day operations after leaving and expressed dissatisfaction with the way his departure was handled.

I didn’t leave feeling sad,” he said. Feeling relieved to be back in Barcelona, I left. A second like this is something I’ve dreamed about for the past five years. My only complaint is with the way my departure was handled.

When Dani Alves Left Barcelona, What Did He Have To Say

I’ve been here for a while now, and I’ve made it abundantly clear that I’m not the same guy I was when I was 20, and that I prefer transparency and honesty. There has been sin in this club in recent years. Barcelona has no respect for its club’s past greats.

To put it bluntly, I’d prefer a new approach to business in Barcelona as a cule. Not referring to myself because my experience was different. My undying gratitude goes to President Obama and Xavi for helping me get back to life.

I stumbled upon a team where the young players had some fantastic on-field ideas. Its off-field operations, however, require enhancement. It’s the complete antithesis of the mentality on which we based our work a few years ago. What happens on the field is a microcosm of what’s going on in the world.

I want Barcelona to win again, but I know how difficult it is for them. Football is a more even-keeled, team sport. And the club has neglected to include that.”

Barcelona Does Not Respect The Members Who Made The Club Great

Alves expressed his appreciation to Xavi and the club for re-signing him, but he also made it clear that he wants to see some changes made to the way the club does business when the team is not in action.

“For my part, as a Barca supporter, I think the club should try new things. Of course, I’m not referring to myself here; my own experience was very different from the one being discussed. To Xavi and the president, I will be eternally grateful.”

“The off-field operations must be strengthened. The mentality is the complete antithesis of what we established a few years ago. Everything that goes on in the stadium reflects back on the club, and vice versa. Football is a more even-keeled, team sport, and this aspect has been neglected.”

Last words

Although he was 39 years old, he was determined to play for Brazil at the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM. On Friday night, late, it happened at the Lusail. After Alves started and played the entire game in Brazil’s 1-0 loss to Cameroon, he set a new record as the oldest player from his country to appear in a World Cup.
