Breaking Bad Storyline

Breaking Bad storyline

Breaking Bad is a drama series that takes place in Albuquerque, New Mexico, between 2008 and 2010. It centres on Walter White, a modest high school chemistry teacher who becomes a ruthless kingpin in the neighbourhood methamphetamine drug trade after learning he has incurable lung cancer and must find money to support his family.

In a mobile meth lab, Walter initially produces meth in tiny batches with his old student Jesse Pinkman, but ultimately they grow to produce greater quantities of a highly sought-after blue meth that is exceptionally clean. In order to conceal his identity, Walter adopts the alias “Heisenberg”.

Walter eventually finds himself at odds with his family, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) through his brother-in-law Hank Schrader, the neighbourhood gangs, and the Mexican drug cartels (including their regional distributors) due to his drug-related activities, endangering the lives of both he and his family.

Breaking Bad becomes classic drama

Breaking Bad was created during a prosperous period for cable television. In the United Kingdom, where the environment of television is radically different, the show did not find an audience until after the advent of Netflix. The first two seasons of the drama were broadcast in Britain on FX and Five USA, although it was difficult to attract a sizable audience to either channel’s broadcasts.

However, by the time it reached its final season, the show’s reputation had been so strong that Netflix was able to utilise Breaking Bad as a stepping stone into the market in the United Kingdom. There are several factors that contributed to the success of Breaking Bad as a great drama, some of which were technical, and others creative.

But above all things, it stood out due to the fact that despite the fantastical settings, it was grounded in reality in terms of the complicated and troubled characters it featured.

Breaking Bad: The Conclusion

Breaking Bad end

Early in August 2011, talks between the network AMC and the show’s production company, Sony Pictures Television, about an agreement for the fifth and conceivably final season started. To save money, AMC suggested cutting the fifth season’s 13 episodes down to six to eight, but the creators rejected the idea.

In case an agreement could not be reached, Sony subsequently approached other cable networks about possibly picking up the programme. AMC renewed the show for a fifth and final season with 16 episodes on August 14, 2011. The first eight episodes of the fifth season will air in 2012, while the final eight will premiere in 2013, according to a statement made by Bryan Cranston in April 2012.
