What happened to Sharona in “Monk”
Bitty’s role as a series regular on Monk came to an end with the episode “Mr. Monk Takes His Medication” from the third season. Sharona had inexplicably “gone back” to New Jersey to be with her ex-husband when the police procedural resumed on the air five months later, and Monk’s new secretary, Natalie Teeger, was introduced at that time.
USA Network provided an explanation at the time, which stated that “Monk has opted to proceed in a different creative direction with certain of its characters.” “Bitty has decided not to continue with the cast, and we would like to thank her for the significant contributions she has made and wish her the best of luck in the future.”

Why Sharona left “Monk”?
In the year 2004, there were a lot of tense moments on the set of Monk. Reported disagreements over the terms of contracts drove the producers of the programme to film at least one episode of Season 3 without the bulk of the show’s principal cast members, which finally led to the removal of a much-loved character from the comedy drama entirely.
Following the resignation of Bitty Schram, a spokeswoman for USA Network issued a statement in which they mentioned that the show “Monk” had made the decision to move in a different creative path. As a result of this change in strategy, Schram will no longer be a part of the series.

Sharona came back to “Monk”?
It is to everyone’s great fortune that the producers were successful in persuading Bitty to make a brief appearance in Season 8 for the express purpose of completing her storyline. In an interview from 2009, the former cast member of Felicity said, “It felt honestly like I never left.” “It’s a strange thing, but it does exist,” the speaker said.
Although Sharona did not make an appearance in the final episode of the series, it was revealed that the character had moved to Summit, New Jersey with Lieutenant Randy Disher, who had become the chief of police in that town.
