Demon Slayer Season 3

Those who were concerned that Tanjiro and Nezuko (and everyone else) had reached their final season of Demon Slayer can rest easy knowing that season three is unquestionably coming. In May 2022, the second season of the enormously popular anime franchise came to an end.

Following an amazing finale that featured some of Demon Slayer’s most breathtaking action sequences to date. What does Tanjiro’s future hold now that the chaos in the entertainment area has subsided? Here is everything we currently know about season three of Demon Slayer.

What Demon Slayer is all about

Demon Slayer Season 3 about

Koyoharu Gotouge is the author and illustrator of the Japanese manga series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. From February 2016 to May 2020, it was serialised in Shueisha’s shunen manga magazine Weekly Shnen Jump, and its chapters were collected in 23 tankbon volumes.

Viz Media and Shueisha both released it concurrently on their Manga Plus platforms in English. It centres on teenage Tanjiro Kamado, who aspires to become a demon hunter following the massacre of his family and the transformation of his younger sister Nezuko into a monster.

Officially, the Swordsmith Village Arc is the third season of Demon Slayer. We won’t discuss the source material here, but be assured that it will likely span chapters 100 to 127 of the manga. Given that the Entertainment District Arc covered a comparable age range of 70 to 99, this season will probably consist of 12 episodes, give or take a few.

It should involve Tanjiro going to Swordsmith Village to obtain a new sword, barring any significant changes. As luck would have it, there is an old weapon in the village. It’s not all that simple, though, because the story also involves the Love and Mist Hashiras and perhaps one or two Upper Rank demons.

Demon Slayer Season 3 release date

In April 2023, Demon Slayer Season 3 will debut on Crunchyroll. Although we do not yet know the precise release date, we will update this space as soon as it is known. A one-hour special episode for the Kimetsu no Yaiba Swordsmith Village Arc will also debut, with Season 3 Episode 1 premiering earlier as part of a theatrical screening event. Dates for that are listed below:

3 February in Japan
Tokyo: 4 and 5 February
United States and Canada: March 3 Los Angeles: February 18 Paris: February 25
Berlin, 26 February
March 4 in Mexico City
Seoul: 11 March
Taipei: 19 March

In addition to the first episode of the Swordsmith Village Arc, the screenings will also feature episodes 10 and 11 of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc.

The lengthy production of Demon Slayer The Movie: Mugen Train, a major motion picture by Ufotable, contributed significantly to the delay in the second season of Demon Slayer. There doesn’t seem to be a third film this time around between seasons.
