Early Years

On October 7th, 1996, Lewis Marc Capaldi was born in the Scottish town of Bathgate.

He is the baby of the group because he is the youngest of his parents’ four children. Capaldi liked going to school, but not as a student as much as he liked being the one who continuously amused his peers with his tricks and antics. His nickname was “that guy.”

He originally developed an interest in music when he was just 4 years old while growing up in Bathgate, which is located halfway between Glasgow and Edinburgh. At a summer camp where his family was staying, he got up on stage and sang a few Queen songs while a band played in the background.

Just before he released the single “bruises,” Capaldi released his first extended play (ep), titled “bloom.”

One of his coworkers on the EP was Grammy Award-winning producer Malay. He received numerous invitations to support well-known bands and musicians, like Rag’n’bone Man, after the release of “bruises” and the first EP.

With the help of his fourth headline tour around Europe and the UK, where he performed in front of sizable crowds, his solo career advanced.

He also performed at a number of renowned festivals in the summer of 2018, including Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Firefly, Mountain Jam, Osheaga, Reading & Leeds Festival, Rize, and Trnsmt.
