The American science fiction action-adventure limited series Andor, commonly referred to as Star Wars: Andor, was developed by Tony Gilroy for the Disney+ streaming service. It is a prequel to both the 2016 spin-off movie Rogue One.

Andor Season 2 storyline
In a previous interview, Gilroy revealed that when Season 2 returns, the story will make its first time jump, moving forward a year after the finale, before exploring one-year spans of Cassian’s life, which will play out across three episode blocks. This will be the first time that the show has made a time jump.
Luna went into greater detail on how Gilroy arrived at this story structure while she was discussing with Nemiroff. She mentioned that earlier, they had discussed a 5-season storyline for Andor, before it became evident that it wasn’t really practical. Nemiroff was there for this conversation.
Andor Season 2 release date
On August 31, 2022, the first episode of the first season of Andor aired. It has already been decided to continue for a second season, even before the first episode of the new season has aired, and it is anticipated that the new season will debut some time in 2023.
The upcoming season will similarly have 12 episodes, although the total amount of time each one will run has not been specified. Disney Platform Distribution is in charge of the show’s distribution at this time.
