Rapper Dayvon Daquan Bennett, often known as King Von, was born in Chicago, Illinois. He has contracts with Empire Distribution and Lil Durk’s record company, Just the Family.

Bennett was born in Chicago, Illinois, on August 9, 1994. He had three siblings from his mother Taesha and six half-siblings from his father Walter E. Bennett. Due to his father’s incarcerations, he was primarily raised by his mother; they had sporadic interactions. Von’s father was shot and died when he was 11 years old. Later, Von would honour his father in a number of songs.

King Von: A rapper or gangster?
Von spent his first time behind bars at the age of 16. He was accused of one first-degree murder offence and two attempted murder counts in 2014 in connection with a shooting that left one person dead and two others injured. Von focused on his music career, working with Lil Durk, after being cleared of all charges.
He attended South Suburban College in South Holland, Illinois, prior to his incarceration on the allegations. While incarcerated as a minor, he completed his GED. He then became a member of the street gang known as the Black Disciples.
King Von rapping career
King Von was accepted into the Only the Family collective by Lil Durk after hearing some of his early music. Although his debut single “Problems” saw modest success, “Crazy Storyriveting “‘s account of a robbery-turned-shootout helped him reach a wider audience. Around 20 million people watched the song’s late-2018 released music video.
The rapper gained notoriety as a result of this, and in March of the following year, he released the single “Cousins” alongside JusBlow600. King Von moved from Chicago to Atlanta in order to advance his burgeoning profession. Grandson, Vol. 1, his debut mixtape, was released in September 2019. The album, which includes Lil Durk on two songs, debuted at number 75 on the Billboard 200.

King Von shot dead
King Von, a rising star in the Chicago drill scene, passed away on Friday morning, November 6, 2020, at the age of 26 after being involved in a shooting in Atlanta. The incident took place on the same day.
Vulture was informed by the Atlanta Police Department that a shooting outside of the Monaco Hookah Lounge resulted in the deaths of three people and injuries to three more.
King Von personal life
It has been alleged that Bennett and Texas rapper Asian Doll were not romantically involved at the time of his passing; nonetheless, the two had a history of on-and-off seeing one another. One of Von’s offspring was a boy, and the other two were girls.

Tribute to King Von
Bennett was honoured with a place in the “In Memoriam” montage that was shown during the 64th Annual Grammy Awards. A mural by the artist Chris Devins representing King Von was completed in Parkway Gardens in Chicago in the month of August 2021. (where Von was from).
In memory of the late rapper, this was intended to be a homage to him. The artwork was regarded as contentious by the people who live in Chicago, with some of them arguing that it would bring gang-related crime to the region and that it was a glorification of gang violence. Some inhabitants of Chicago believed that the mural did not belong there at all.
