When a TMZ reporter tried to probe Pascal about the LGBTQ themes in his hit HBO series, The Last of Us, Pascal was unimpressed.

When asked, “What do you tell those who don’t like LGBT character love stories?” Pascal, who appeared to be getting into his car, was asked by the paparazzo. With that he turned and walked away.

Pascal returned to his car to be asked a second time by the cameraperson why it’s “so important that LGBTQ+ characters are on TV shows.”

“I think you’re asking the question because you know why it’s so important,” Pascal said in response. Pascal was abrupt with the TMZ reporter, telling them, “You should know why,” when they pressed for an explanation.

Throughout his life, Pascal has been an outspoken advocate for the LGBTQ+ community.

In 2021, he made headlines for his unwavering support of his transgender sister, Lux. Longtime friends and co-stars in the Star Wars franchise.

Pascal and Oscar Isaac are both huge fans of the reality show Drag Race, and just this week, Pascal posted an Instagram photo of a Progress Pride Flag.
