In a statement released in December 2023, Starz president and CEO Jeffrey Hirsch all but confirmed that the show would be renewed for a second season.
Fans are “clearly still hungry” for more Power Book II: Ghost, he says, because “the continued success and cultural resonance of the Power universe is unprecedented” (via Deadline).
The fourth installment in the rapidly expanding franchise, Power Book IV: Force, will be released early in the new year, and production on the third season of the star-studded series will begin then as well.
Courtney Kemp, who has been running the show, has been promoted to executive producer, while Brett Mahoney of Empire has taken over as showrunner.
And that’s just the beginning of the series’ alterations; Tariq’s on-screen story is only going to get more intricate from here on out.
