Police said a male, 36, and a woman, 45, were both shot to death in a home in the 2000 block of South Indiana Avenue. According to the police, they were discovered between Sunday afternoon (at 2:00) and Monday afternoon (at 3:00).
Leticia Zaragoza is the name of the lady who was found. When her brother learned of her death, he wasted no time in making the trip to the South Loop apartment.
“Just to find out what really occurred, if anybody’s culpable, to catch them,” Tony Garcia said.
The male victim has not been officially recognized by the medical examiner, but according to Zaragoza’s brother, he was her lover and they shared the flat.
“She is a very attractive woman. An intense amount of affection. What happened to her was unfair. Not a soul, “Garcia declared.
Local Law Enforcement
Local law enforcement has been called in. There was a delay in additional details regarding the shooting being released by police.
Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office confirmed that Arterie Riley, 81, had been shot in the right side of the head.
Both Thomas Riley, 65, and Ruben Riley, 61, were shot in the right side of their torsos, according to police and the medical examiner’s office. At the scene, the three victims were pronounced dead.

A lady was discovered hanging in a South Side CPD holding cell, prompting an investigation by the Civilian Office of Police Accountability (COPA).
Irene Chavez, 33, a member of the city’s LGBTQ+ community, was arrested on the night of December 17 after she was asked to leave Jeffrey Pub on the 7000 block of South Jeffrey Boulevard.
On the morning of December 18th, she was discovered hanging in her 3rd District holding cell.

The body of 21-year-old Kiyasha Truitt was discovered by police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office in the basement bathroom of a house located in the 200 block of West 105th Street at approximately 10 p.m.
