A man from Connecticut has been accused in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred in the parking lot of a Trader Joe’s in West Hills, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
This heinous crime took place in the middle of the day on a Saturday. It’s a miracle no innocents were wounded or killed. George Gascón, the DA, made the statement. Such flagrant indifference to the welfare of our community cannot be permitted.
After reportedly opening fire in the supermarket parking lot on April 1, Mark Elton Connole was charged with one count of murder and three counts of attempted murder. The incident apparently started over a botched narcotics sale, according to the LAPD.
A body was discovered in the parking lot, and three people were taken to the hospital in critical condition. The police said that two people were injured, one in critical condition and the other in a serious one.
Connole and his accomplice Amy Waters fled the scene of the shooting at Trader Joe’s in a car. The two drivers led police on a brief pursuit before colliding with another vehicle, whose driver walked away unharmed.

The district attorney’s office said that Amy Waters, 33, of Simi Valley, was charged with one count each of accessory after the fact, reckless driving while eluding a police car, and possession for sale of a dangerous narcotic.
Police said one of the victims had met the suspect for a drug deal just before the shooting. According to the authorities, an altercation broke out and the suspect opened fire.

Suspect Arrested For Trader Joe’s Parking Lot Shooting
In case LA098930, a guy named Mark Elton Connole from Connecticut (dob 1/9/89) is accused of murder and three counts of attempted murder. In addition, he is accused of wielding a firearm and causing serious physical harm himself.
Amy Waters (dob 7/7/89) was arrested and charged with three counts of careless driving, possession for sale of a prohibited narcotic, and accessory after the fact.
This afternoon, they will be arraigned in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Van Nuys Branch, Department 100.
On April 1, Connole is suspected of shooting and killing one guy and injuring three others in the parking lot of a Trader Joe’s in West Hills. Waters is suspected of driving the getaway car recklessly. After a brief chase, both suspects were captured.

Police say that after Connole crashed his car, Waters arrived in a red Honda and picked him up.
The Los Angeles Police Department claims that Waters led them on a chase before she and Connole stopped and surrendered.
A gun was found, according to the police. Helicopter police in Los Angeles noticed him switching vehicles. Amy Waters, who was driving the other car, and Connole were both apprehended following a brief chase that ended at the intersection of Owensmouth Avenue and Saticoy Street. Two weapons were located and retrieved.
District Attorney George Gascón said in a statement that “this brazen act of violence occurred in the middle of a Saturday afternoon.” There was a real risk of injury or death to unknowing shoppers. We will not stand for this appalling lack of concern for the welfare of our community.
On April 13, Connole and Waters will appear in court in Van Nuys for their arraignment.
