A teenage girl was shot and murdered on Chicago’s far South Side on Easter Sunday, authorities said.

At 12:51 a.m., a gunfire was reported on South Sangamon Avenue (block 10600) located in the Washington Heights, Pennsylvania neighbourhood. When police arrived at the scene of a shooting, they discovered a fifteen-year-old girl sitting in the passenger seat of a car with a bullet lodged to the back of her skull.

According to the police, the woman was taken in a serious condition by the Chicago Fire Company to the School of Medicine of Chicago Medical Center’s emergency room, where lady was later pronounced dead. The coroner determined that she was Demea Morris.

Another Innatriate Is Needlessly Killed

On Easter Sunday, a teenager was shot in the head in the park known as Jackie Robinson Playground on Chicago’s Farther South Side, sparking fury among local activists.

To quote one victim: “They are totally cruel, gutless, I question how could you for anything how can anybody strike a girl who’s just 15 years old across the head?”

Police in Chicago reported that they were called to the area of 106th & Sangamon on Washington Heights on Wednesday shortly before 1 a.m. in response to reports of gunfire. Demea Morris, 15, was found reclining in the back of a car with a gunshot wound to the head.

Andrew Holmes, a local activist, informed NBC 5 that he’d got a conversation with Demea’s heartbroken mother. “There’s a family is in their vehicle, laughing as well as having a nice time, before someone fires a pistol,” Holmes explained.

Morris was brought to the College of Chicago Medical Center after receiving a gunshot wound, but she was pronounced dead there. Airhart lamented, “They haven’t even gone to the prom yet, so they haven’t had a chance to hang out with their buddies and figure out which college I want to attend.”

As of late Sunday, nobody had been taken into arrest. For any kind of data that helps identify and apprehend the gunman, Holmes supplies a $1,000 reward.

According to Holmes, “for a heartbroken mother to bear this child for a period of nine months, followed by all of her sudden at the direction of a different nation take her newborn within a second,” is unimaginable. There should never be a situation when a mother has to toggle between a door and a casket. Absolutely not!

For hours, detectives sealed off the area and combed the vehicle she was found in for shot casings and other evidence. The back window of the black SUV with Indiana licence plates was shattered. Both the shooter(s) and the reason(s) for the shooting(s) remain unknown at this time.

Who else, if anyone else, was in the car with Morris when he was shot is unknown. As the investigation continues, police say they remain committed to identifying and apprehending those responsible. Detectives in Area 2 are urging everyone with knowledge which could help them make an arrest to contact them.
