According to the Chicago Police Department, a lady, ages 23 at the time, was shot while riding a CTA bus on the South Side of Chicago on Tuesday night.

According to the police, the woman who was assaulted was on a bus located in the 7100 blocks of South Jeffery Boulevard at the time of the incident, which took place at 8:10 p.m., when she got engaged in a fight with an unidentified individual.

According to the police, shots were fired, and the lady was injured in the region of her collarbone when one of them impacted her.

She was deemed to be in stable condition while being transferred over to the the University of Illinois at Chicago Hospital. According to the reports, nobody was taken into jail. At this stage, the investigation is still being carried out.
